Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Grand Opening Captured by Just Right TV Productions

Just Right TV Productions received a short-notice request to help capture the rise of the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City in a moving time-lapse video.

After an exhaustive online search for the right time-lapse construction camera solution, Just Right TV Productions chose iBEAM Construction Cameras to help them capture the intricate and fast-paced construction of the high-profile casino project.

Project Background

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City was starting construction and renovations. Just Right TV Productions was approached to capture the magic of the build in an engaging time-lapse video just eight days before the project's start date.

The Problem

After having a conversation with a strategic partner and project consultant for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, it was evident Martin and his team could fulfill the need for a time-lapse video.

However, having previously shot time-lapse footage on traditional DSLR cameras with basic timers, Martin knew he'd need additional features to help deliver the highest quality end result for the casino. Features such as weatherproof housing, multi-camera asset management, email notifications/alerts, and the ability to upload images and download renders in a variety of resolutions directly from the web were must haves.

With his camera criteria for the project well defined and an imminent deadline, Martin took the next step in finding his time-lapse construction camera solution -- researching and evaluating potential solutions.

Goals and Objectives

The casino was under a tight constraint to finish construction before the grand opening ceremony on the Fourth of July. It was incredibly important that Martin capture every project milestone in the time-lapse project.

This presented a unique challenge. Martin and his team needed to find a solution that provided:
